  • auto feeder suggestions?

Hows it going everyone? I'll be planning to go on vacation real soon, so anyone recommend a good auto feeder? I almost bought the one in walmart that sells for $13 but hesitated thinking it might break easily. Also, is just best to just add pellets instead of flake food?

How long are you going for?
What kind of fish are they?

If it's a short trip, in most cases you'll be fine leaving them as is.
If you desperately need to have one, eheim feeders is all I trust.

yeah this would work out great for this situation.

Make sure you do a dry run to test the door setting first to see how much food gets dumped at each feeding. I would also limit the feeding amounts just to sustain them till you get back.

Yeah make sure you do a few test runs outside of the tank to see how much is released each time. I would limit feeding to once, maybe twice a day since you can't do water changes while you are away.
