  • What's up with my 2260?

Did a normal water change and plug the filter back in. Working fine until an hour later I start noticing a lot of bubbles being pushed out of the spray bar. I open the door under the stand and I hear it kinda humming and I can hear air. Any suggestions on how to make it stop?

    Cavitated.

Shake it around and cycle the power to bring the air to the output, simple water siphon action should take care of it on its own, or do a cleaning and make sure the canister is full of water.

Cool. It's like a pulsing hissing sound.

If you ditch the coarse sponges on the FX5 it doesn't get the microbubbles as often.

This happen to me also I did the shaking technique with all my eheim. Watch the o ring on the pump also. When the shaking technique didn't work for me I found that the o ring was leaking. Replaced o ring and no more micro bubbles and weird noises

I just leave my 2262 running when I change water but the tank it is on is bottom drilled so that might make the difference

If you close the valves and shut the power prior it holds a siphon as long as the water level doesn't drop below the intake stainer.

Once you fill it back up just open the valves and the siphon alone should be enough to force any air out.
