got physical therapy wed, thur, and fri this week due to the holiday.....but the weekend or next week is good for me....i have therapy mon, tue, and thur. wed or friday is good for me...you pick it...as well as sat and sun this week......you make the call traci i'll make the trip...and again thanks alot...hope you have a good day with the relatives today....

I'm not working tomorrow...er...today...the 26th.  But I'm working Thursday and Friday.  Then I'm off again Monday and Tuesday.  That doesn't mean that I can't meet you guys on a day I'm working.  It just means that I'm more limited to times.  You are welcome to come to our house if you want, OR I am happy to meet you someplace.  I'm pretty flexible.  :)

Thanks Traci for testing all of them.  did the one dOA work out?

Makes me worry somewhat that 1 out of 25 does not work, and EK gets his without motors.

For $5 I guess they are throw aways anyhow..

I know!!  They have a lot of power for such little powerheads.  I was testing them in a bucket and cannot tell you how many times I was wiping up water off the floor.    

I emailed Miguel out at FraggleReef about the one DOA, and he suggested taking it apart (as did EK), but I haven't done it yet.  It may just be that the impeller is out of whack or something.  But he did say that if it doesn't work, to let him know and he'll get a replacement out to me.  

I think EK didn't get the motors because of the postal service.  I think his package came apart.  Since I ordered so many, they came in boxes and were packed really well.  

You just HAVE to keep flaunting that 300 in our faces, don't you.     j/k

Yeah my missing parts was due to handling of the postal service  :?

I got them all now and they work fine....though these cannot be used on a timer or wave maker...tried it and it is not reliable in that sense.

As much as I love my family, and the time spent with them is so cherrished, I am looking forward to getting my tank setup and going to College Station to get my Petro's and Ectodus.

The Ectodus are going to be something totally different and new, so anyone with sanddweller experience I would appreciate any knowledge.

And I am not talking about beachbums either

I picked mine up from Traci yesterday and I must say these things are much smaller than I thought. They are working fine in my 20 long saltwater setup. One problem though, anyone else who is using them, have you had the suction cups just give out? i woke up this morning to sand blowing everywhere in the tank.

Has anyone tested them to see what kind of water movement they can really push? I have 3 with the valves completely open and dont see too much water movement.

try putting the suction cups in the microwave for about 5-10 seconds or boil them in some water.

I know it has helped me in some suction cups that used to not work.  Then again sometimes it does not help much at all.

They are $5...might have to silicone the bracket or find differnt brand of suction cups.

So basically, what do these powerheads help with?  I've only used filters and air pumps before but never powerheads
