5.5 quarentine for 3" fish?

I need a qtank for a 3" peacock before I throw it into the main tank. Would a 5.5 gallon with a sponge filter suffice or do I need to get at least a 10 gallon? I have the 5.5 setup already and didn't feel like buying another tank lol

As long as you keep the water clean. I don't see why it wouldn't. It will be the only fish in the tank?

Yup. Definitely the only fish in the tank. Js worried about stress levels when there isn't enough swimming room. It would be a new fish not a sick one so I don't really want it to develop diseases while being stressed lol

How long do you plan on quarentine?

2-3 days at least to check for sickness and see if it will eat before putting it into the main tank
