  • too much purigen?

amateur question here....is there such thing as useing too much purigen? on my 8 gallon, lightly planted, with a couple pairs of endlers an some cherry shrimp, i have a zoomed mini can with a bag of it in it, and a ac20 with a bag in it. is this stuff, the more the merrier? i mean, the water stays about as perfect as can be, just wanted to make sure im not messing up in the long run. thanks for any advice!

Don't think there is such thing. People that use it are using 1L on a 180-300g

Nope. No such thing as too much. They'll be used up somewhat the same depending on flow going through it. One purigen bag should be plenty enough for a 8gal. One bag is enough for a 30gal, but it doesn't matter much. However much you want will work.

Just be careful what you are adding to your tank chemical wise. Some additives will ruin it and make it toxic.

No it won't effect it. The purigen might absorb the flourish though. Basically any Seachem product should be safe with purigen.

My 30g RCS tank has plenty of roots and tannins. Where's the best place to get purigen?
