I need help my phosphates are off the charts

Just wanted to thank all of you for the help my phosphates have already gone down somewhat I haven't started using the Chemi pure yet but will start it after I treat for internal worms, fungus and bad bacteria that are caused from extremely high phosphate levels.

Phosphates do not dissipate on their own, and if youre adding some with each water change, that compounds the problem, again as ptran said, is algae growth your main concern with the phosphates??

My test kit has to be bad I will return it. I'm going to go get my water tested tomorrow and buy some purigen. I have fin rot now so I know it's a Nitrite problem. Thank you all for the help. I put kanaplex, voogle, and copper sulfate in the tank so this should stop the fin rot after its gone I will put purigen in it. I would put salt in the tank but I have Pleco's and I don't know if they can handle it. Chemipure elites going to have to wait I have to many tanks and its kinda expensive.

Most Plecos can handle some salt. you just can't use to much at one time.
