Well over the Christmas holidays my roomates ex came over to celebrate Christmas with us because she misses the kids.
Well in the excitement she bumped my temp 40g breeder tank which has a Perfecto Light on top of it in a balancing act... (the kids, roomie and I have yet to bump into it.. she did...
Well into the tank went the light.. it stayed lit for a bit then went out... she attempted to pick up the light but got shocked..
Roomie quickly unplugged the light and I was able to take it out.
What most likely has happened to the fixture ? Should I trash it ? (thank GOD it was a the only light I hated to own.. it fits a 29 and nothing else.. the light is perm attached to the front lid and I dont like these lights.. I prefer glass tops with lights sitting on top of them so this stuff cannot happen.
None of the fish are hurt from it. and we are talking everything from fully grown Yellow Labs to guppies and their babies are in this tank..
(this is my hospital tank converted to hold a ton of fish because I am cleaning and setting up tanks right now.)
Tomorrow it will be nearly empty as my 58 is ready to accept fish :)
