Combining two fx5s ?

Has ne one done this yet. Im thinking of doing a different method here instead of two intakes and such....
Was thinking i could use 2' pvc as a main intake all the way and under the stand use a t splitter with 1' barbed connections. Trying to make a clean efficient look and use new ideas! And ill be able to add an easy water change valve as well. ??? Ideas and thoughts peole ?!?!?!

I'm with this statement, fx5 are iffy if there's any air in the system. And with a 2in intake will be different as to the functionality. You should try it and see how it works

Ill do it and see. May work amazing, may not. But dont know till ya try. The intakes will be the same basically, just two will be linked into a 2' hard piped pvc.

Ok so heres what I was talking about, and how it'll be done. Not sure some of u got what i was trying to do without a visual image. The top of the cross is the cross pipe from the tank. The right and left sides will feed the fx5s via a 1' barber (not shown). Now , please note that this is just for the intake , the outputs will be done with 1' braided hose and a 1' PVC into the tank. The shutoff you see is a Wc valve, where I'll be able too hook up a inch n quarter black hose too and drain the tank using my intake. Also, the fx5 have shutoff valves on them so theres easy maintenance on those with out much fuss. Once its all together itll be simple and functional. !!

Yea I agree more intake more gunk gets sucked up. I put intake and output at each end. With the purge that fx5 does I'm not sure how accurate the timing on each one is post a video once its completed. Would love to see how it turns.out

This is just for the canisters, im planning on putting in two big powerheads with sponge attachments.
