Where can I get an extension for my water inlet. It's about 12" off the substrate. Seems to high to be picking up waste.

Your filter isn't really meand to pick up the dirt, but only clean your water itself. I just shortend the inlet of my eheim cause dirt (that should be siphoned) closed it down constantly.

I just want it to suck up the poop as it is being pushed around by wave makers. With all the rock I don't want it to fall between. Wont be able to syphon.

I keep mine about 2/3 the way down. You can get extensions at fish city or order online at big al's

I do understand, buy asking myself if a filter really is meand to suck up the poop. There is a mechanical filtering for bigger parts and biological one, but to my believe is it meand as watercleaner and not really as bottomcleaner. Does the pooh gets to the corner wherr thr inlet is placed? Cheers Aad
