  • fx6 in a 55g standard stand?

I know you need around 22" in height to fit..after measuring it seems it will fit..just concerned since iam not very good at measuring things..lol..i also noticed that where the hose connects to the filter it is at a slight angle..thinking that will help some too..

But what do yall think..is this doable..

Sounds like it would fit but my question would be about the flow... what do you plan on keeping?

Flow shouldn't be an issue. You can always point the output upwards for surface agitation.

I was thinking maybe to much flow rather than not enought.
With that being said I was told you could adjust the gph, but I don't have a fx6 so I don't know for sure.

Standard 55 gallon stand ( petco kind )is a little over 27 inches . I think you have plenty of room.

That's what I meant, when you have too much flow being output or power head, you can always point it upwards to agitate the surface water versus stirring up the whole tank. Works in most cases.
