These are my current set ups, stock lists, and the filters "rated" flow ratings..
1) 50 gallon bowfront:17 Ilangi tropheus fry 1.75-2.25in, 12 Otopharynx Lithobates fry .75-1in.
Eheim 2217 - 264 gph
Tetra Ex70 - 340 gph
Total = 604 gph / 50g tank = 12.08 turnovers per hour
Also running a hydor koralia 425 gph mini circ pump
2) 75 gallon: 5 yellow labs 2.5-3.5in, 3 yellow tail acei 3.5-4in long, 3 red top hongi 2.5-3in, 3 albino zebras 2-2.5in. I do want to bump each up to about 5-6 of each type, except the acei which I will leave at 3.
Fluval FX-5 - 924 gph
Total = 924 gph /75g tank = 12.32 turnovers per hour
3) 90 gallon tank: 1 red ear slider turtle ~6 in front to back of shell, 1 green terror ~4.25in, 2 Firemouths ~3in.
2 - AC110 - 500 gph each
Total= 1000 gph /90 gallon tank = 11.11 turnovers per hour.
Now, are these the best combinations for each tank, or is there a better combination that I could switch around? The only limitation is the 90g doesn't have room for a canister or wet/dry yet and has to use HOB filters till I move to a larger place.
Also, I picked up a small wet/dry filter but I am unaware of where it will work best at, what its rated for, and what pump to get.
It is an Amircle 18L x 8W x 14H. I know it will only hold total 7.5g but will really hold ~6g when it is filled to the right level.
The HOB overflow is 5.5W x 4L x 10H with what single 1in U tube and 1in fittings.
I found a 1110 GPH Pump Water Fountain Pond Submersible Aquarium sump that is adjustable from 0-1100 gph that I was thinking of getting for this.
Thanks ahead for any help/advice!
