he does have it in black in his 125 tank......it's just as nice as the white sand.....only black......

Well the only person to make what he says credible is you...... :? To take his word I would have to take yours too....



but for real though....if CF can get a vid it would really make this stuff sell fast! It would just suck to have to clean a tank out after finding out this stuff does stay in the water column for a little bit.

Hey you two's, you're mucking up my thread here..... :)

I'll give your hand held sand test a go and see if I can't capture it on my cam as well...we'll see how that goes...

EK's suggestion had me wondering after I read it, "how would the sand react with all the filters and PH running, so I just tried it.

I'm pretty impressed and I think you all will be too, I picked up more sand than any fish could move at one time and took it up to about the middle of the tank and let it fall while moving my hand horizontally, the majority of the sand, fell back to the bottom very quickly, there was a slight cloudiness or body of sand that floated in the current around the tank, but it did eventually all fall back to the bottom.
Overall, the test went exetremely well I would say, I estimate the tank was clear again in less than 5 minutes.
My conclusion is: This sand is so fine, that unless there was a un usually large amount captured by any filter system, most of the sand will be processed thru the impeller and captured by the filter pads or possibly even sent back into the tank.

I invite anyone close by to come and check it out if they have the time or interest.

I'll still try to get a "movie" up on you tube or the photobucket, boy this room is demanding..... :)

It is only available in white, and again, I do NOT have any available until the first of March MAYBE longer.

I talked to CF ... he said the problem with this sand is it is so nice you dont have to clean it.. he said he knows people who would be upset about the fact that they dont have to clean it and just pour it into the tank.. they like that extra labor intensive work of cleaning their substrate first..      

In Short CF said.. he didnt clean it at all to put it into the tank.. its that good :)
