I'm doing the change over, I started on it last night. Had alot of fish to transfer and even more gravel to remove. I'm at work today and will not be able to do anything till tomorrow. Steve, so far the WIFE loves it. It isn't even in the tank with fish all over it and she loves it. As soon as I can get it up and running, I'll post some pictures. I have neve posted a picture but we'll see??  FF

Hrmmm...  perhaps she's hinting that you should pick up a few more so ya'll can have your own private beach party...

Pics of the tank with new sand...the fish in the tank with new sand...and a really cute Tropheus face. (I'm a sucker for the Troph face) :)

traci.....i have to agree with you on that part of being a sucker for a troph face....that's the most sweetest picture...
and hey....that sand looks awsome in there.....they seem very happy with their new environment.....

Still plenty of sand available, I have had the pleasure of meeting a few new faces and seeing some familar ones and again, I would like to thank all of you who have purchased a bag or two and even more.

I have good news and I have bad news... The good news is I got the sand and it looks awesome! I didn't rinse it and maybe that's why there is a good bit of sand still suspended this morning. I turned on my filter before I left the house this morning, so I hope it's clear when I get home today. The bad news is.... I can't find my freaking camera so I can't take a picture!

I think i only need 75lbs, so if anybody wants to get the remaining 25lbs, then id be happy to split it. It would be better if you were attending the meeting on friday, or lived close to me as i dont head into Houston.

I know what you are talking about, I saw the same thing.  Right after adding the sand, it was a little cloudy, but just barely.  And I left the filters going through the night after adding the sand and by morning it was crystal clear.  And no adverse affects to the filters.
