  • pvc cement cure times

I just got my 55g on my new stand. I re-plumbed the wet/dry filter just 5 minutes ago to fit the new space under my stand.
So my question is; what is the least amount of time I can wait before running the wet/dry without causing harm to my fish?
The wet/dry was running for ~11 months, so it was well established and I don't want it to have to cycle through again.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Let it cure according to the instructions on the cement, that's probably not something you want to gamble with. Just remove all your media and place it in tank water so you can keep your bacteria colonies

You don't need pvc cement/purple stuff. Just use the pvc glue, generally in a white/tan can. 10-15 min after using the glue, you can run water through it. It's the purple stuff that you need to watch out fir but since most of our applications aren't under pressure, you don't need it

As long as you keep whatever media you have in aquarium water one way or another, you're good

This helped, as I didn't use the primer this go around becuase it's no pressure through the line.
              Thanks man!
