Oceanic 90g RR to freshwater

ok heres the questions.  

1.   I have used a marine tank for fresh after tons of cleaning but, on the gap on the overflow box, if i cant get all the marine crap left over is that gonna hurt my freshwater stuff?  I have never not been able to fully clean all that stuff off so i was wondering.  

2.  What do i need to buy in order to setup a wet/dry on it?  I have never done a wet/dry, wanna do it right.  

3.  Who wants to come over and help me plum it?  

4.  Who has a wet/dry for it that wants to trade for a 50 pound CO2 tank or maybe 2 if thats how far i gotta go to get this stuff??

5.  On the return for the wetdry i think i wanna do a spraybar.  what yall think or is there enough O2 exchange with the wetdry that i dont neeed the spraybar but just the return is enough?

1) You could use muric acid diluted with water circulated through the tank (trick Navarro thought me). probably not gonna hurt though

2) If it has bulkheads already all you need is the wet/dry and the hosing to fit and return pump.

3) plum's are fruit plumb is what you need.

4) Try looking on marshreef...there are a few but doubt anyone would trade for those 50lb bottles.

5) I would just do the normal output....spray bars have smaller outlet holes which have a higher tendency to clog....

so you volunteering to help me PLUMB it. lol  

The tank is drilled and has the overflow.  There is one bulkhead but the second one isnt complete.  I figured i might as well get 2 new ones.  But what about the intake and output pipes.   where can i get those or do i need to make them or what?  i never done wetdry so what size or how tall or any of that??

For the drain pipes you can use Durso pipes to keep things quiet in the tank....google durso, basically PVC
For return you can use the same(PVC) with a threaded attachment on the end and use a few pieces from loc-line for the return.
I would replace the bulkheads for your needs and probably best to replace the gaskets at least.
As for your wet/dry I would go with the largest you can fit under the tank cause that will give you some leeway if your tank overflows or you have a return pump problem, also it holds water which would increase your total tank volume.

hey thanks.  im gonna go look at durso.  tomorrow ill measure the space under the tank in the stand.  As far as installin the bulkheads i get and stuff.  do i need to silicone too or anything like that or is the gaskets enough?   what amount of pump for the return should i need?  i plan on puttin some larger fish in it.  maybe some fronts or something.  not sure.  gonna depend but i wnat larger fish so my son can really see them good.  he loves the fishys in my tanks and hes only 7months old.  lol.  
how high does the down pipe need to be in the tank?  or low?

With the bulkheads the use of the gaskets should be good enough.
The pump should be determine by the drain size but probably something along the lines of 600-900gph
As for large fish...Fronts will probably not like it in there for long but that's up to you.
The pipe should be high enough for you to plumb your return out and the drain should be a few inches below the drain grates.


As far as the volunteering thing.....I don't really have much free time to myself outside of work and sleep, the only thing that keeps me on here is my phone having internet access.

lol.  i heard that.  ok.  i cant seem to get into the durso website.  must be down or something.  try again tomorrow.  as for teh fronts.  ok.  i figured that people keep them in there 110 and 125s so it be cool but those tanks are long i guess is the difference.  any suggestions on what to go in there??

something else.  im on the drfostersmith webstite cause durso no go tonight. anyways,  lookin at there wetdrys.  whats the difference with all the diff types, and media in them and all that.  are those super fancy special or what?  do i just need a basic or what?

ok here is what i have.  
i measured the diameter or the holes drilled.  looks like 1.75"
the hieght of the overflow is 23.5"  
the space under my cabinet on the floor is 12"w x 22"tall.  
the bulkheads that i have one is the bulkhead, rubber washer, and the screw on part.  it says AGA-1 and is a slip in on top.
the other one is just the bulk head and washer, no screw on part.  it says AGA-3/4U.  

anything else yall need to know?  what do i need to be getting.
and is there anyway to make the water out line a drain line for tank cleaning.  probably not cause of the overflow box right?   this is the tank that zormer sold.

i did.  yahoo email is down and i cant email myself the pic to post it and nothing like that.  all yahoo email is down.  i tried it from all my computers.  pissin me off.

hey i noticed today in the light that the front seam had a water stain like it could be a leak.  im really pissed at this point.  but i have it full of water and have had it for about 1 hr now and theres no leaks.   so i dont know where that water stain on the seam came from but i am gonna keep it full of water until tonight.  i filled it in the back of my truck and i need my truck tomorrow. lol.  dumb idea.  but anyways if no leak by tonight it should be good right?  another thing on that same seam the silicone on the thin outter part.  you konw what i mean the edge of it there is a spot that is about 1" long that has come loose.  the thick stuff in the middle of the seam looks fine its just the thin outter part.  is that ok or what?
