I have 40+ lbs of black "live sand" from a SW setup that I'm wondering if I can rinse the carp out of to used for a FW setup? Anyone done it....worth messing with???

Yeah... i've done it before.
As to whether or not it is worth it... it depends on whether or not you wanted black sand. (it's not much work)Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
