Power Compact Combination Bulbs - Work Well?

I was wondering if anyone was using the Dual Daylight (10K,6.8K) , Dual Actinic (420/460), or the 50/50 (10K & Actinic).

If so, what is your opinion of them, and do they last as long, and burn equally?

I was thinking of using them in single bulb fixtures.

Or would it be better to get Dual Bulb and have one of each.

for african tanks, i prefer 50/50. they give nice equal light. also if over pool filter sand, they give a nice lighter whiter color apperance to the PFS. the the dual actinic IMO is to much blue, it doesnt allow the colors to shine as much as 50/50. the dual daylight is nice, thats what im using on my 75g Mbuna tank, it shouws off their colors nicely, however i am using 2x 12,000K the jebo verion of 10,000k, they give great color, theyr are my second favorite.

this is the Odyssea 48" T6 VHO Dual 54watt light kit, 108 Watts total, got it for $80 bucks at extreme 8)

I was thinking of trying 2- 36" Fixtures with the single 96W bulbs and then get 50/50 or Dual Daylight in both fixtrures for a 150 gallon tank.

That would be 196 Watts.  Right now I have single bulb 36" T8's 40Watts and its not enough.  I want just a little more, but not really wanting the dual PC bulb units.

Geoff, why not 6700k bulbs? The trophs colors could come out so much nicer!

I've got this light over my 150, I recommend it.

It's got 10k's in it right now, but plan on swapping over to 6700k.

pc's to expensive. get a double and run 1 bulb each.

The Single Bulb units run like $90 on Foster & Smith.

They make a Dual Daylight which is 10K and 6.7K together.

They also have 50/50 which are 10K and 460 Actinic

Which variant is this light going over?

I prefer dual daylight over 50/50 any day.
