Rena XP3 sale

I just ordered the XP3 for $109.99. If you go to their website without using the link below it lists for $169.99. The only bad thing is it's on backorder until 12/15, but I can wait a couple weeks for the price. I also found a coupon for $10 off orders of $100 for a final cost of $112.98. Not a bad savings. fshfrk, I wasn't sure if it was that good of a deal but after researching it, I had to buy it. I'm not familar with this filter at all, do you have any media recommendation as I noticed it doesn't seem to come with all the media.

That's a pretty good price compared to whet they go for in the stores. I bought three of these about 1.5 to 2 years ago for $89.00 bucks a piece at www.bigalsonline.com and www.kensfish.com.  The Rena XP3 is a great filter and of all the canisters out there, i think it is the easiest to clean. As for media, the only thing you will need to add will be the bio media. I added Seachem Matrix to mine and it is great. The best price that I have found on the Seachem Matrix is at www.bigalsonline.com. You can get a 2L jar for $17.49. This will be more than enough to fill the XP3. Matrix and some floss pads. but it does come with foam pads,fine pad and pouch of bio chem zorb. every thing you need.
