  • Hoses

I need new hoses for one of my canaster filters but all the tubing I have found is eather so flimsy that it collapses on the suction side or so thick that I can't get the nut over a hose with a big enough id to fit over the valve.

Is there a source for thin wall reinforced tubing ?
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

I know you can buy some of the hoses at LFS's or you can try

    Big Al's

What size are you looking for and what brand of cannister?

You can always use a hose clamp from an auto store to keep it in place.

        Re: Hoses

Home Depot has a variety of sizes of vinyl hose. Unfortunately they are English sizes and Eheim (and other filters) use metric sizes. If you take a bit of the original hose you can usually find something that will work (maybe with an adapter).
