  • Taking Off Trim On 20g Tank

I just bought a 20H for a little project that i'm working on and the trim is an eye soar to me. I wanted to cut off 23" of front side, top and bottom. Is this possible? I'm willing to put extra silicone. The corners will still have the trim on it.

yeah you can do that. just get a razor blade to remove the silicone on the outside of the tank. just dont mess with silicone inside the tank and it shouldnt leak

Thanks for the info. I had to turn around and take a picture when I saw the sign. Should've had my gf next to it hollering.

I would look into putting corner braces up top to where you remove the brace. Once you cut the front off it's gonna lose it's ability to help.

A 20g is a bit of water and the glass on those things are usually paper thin so I would be leary of it.
