I would use the wetdry as a Biological/Fine Filter. I would run the driptray with polyfilter pad and run a second overflow with a micron filter sock. This way the micron filter sock if plugged, would still overflow down your other box.
Then split the use of the two 2262's into Coarse-Medium Mechanical/Bio Filter Filter, and the other use for Chemical Filter and load it up with Charcoal, Chempure, and Purigen.
When I have run a 2262 with a felt pad or some other superfine filter pad on top it causes lots of pump noise and serious flow reduction in very little time.
So, if your not one to want to touch a 2262 but monthly or like 4 months, I would not put a fine pad of anykind in the 2262.

The only problem I see in that is not having a pain in the *** to clean canister for your fine filtering.
In my tanks where I run the 2260/2262 combo's, I still run a 2217 and pack it just for fine filtering
