    You mean NitrItes?

I would ptobably leave the water change to a min since that might be your culprit.
    Add the amquel+plus.
Add some rock salt for the ick.

+1 on the salt. I've used it and it works. you might lose your cats unfortunately though. The scaleless fish always get it the worst.

I would use Quick Cure over Clout for ICK treatment..

I would also slowly start raising temperature to speed up the life cycle of the parasites. I would shoot for around 86-88F. Raise it slowly over a 24 hour period.

What ever treatment you perform, treat the tank for a entire 10-12 days, even if all signs are gone. ICK can come back very quickly.

The the cats and plecos I would probably refrain from using the ich meds.

Salt at about 1tbsp/10g along with increase in temps as well as gravel vacs should help speed it up.

Make sure your water source is not the culprit of the Nitrogen problem and make sure you increase surface agitation with the salt and temp increase.

I just treated a puffer with ich so bad that he was head-standing and gasping and so covered that you could barely see his skin. (I received him this way) Saturday night I thought he was a goner, and today he is free of all ich spots. He also ate 3 times today.

I'm not recommending this method, just sharing what I did to try and save a fish I figured was going to die without extreme measures.

              1. Put fresh water in a bucket, and also in a specimen container.
              2. Dechlorinated the water in both containers.
              3. Put an air stone in the specimen container and added 3 drops of Formalin.
              4. Moved the air stone to the bucket and put the puffer in the specimen container for a Formalin 'bath' for approximately 30 seconds.
              5. Moved the puffer to the bucket of fresh water and put the air stone back in the specimen container. Left puffer in the fresh water for approximately 10 minutes.
              6. Went back and forth between the Formalin bath and the Freshwater soak several times.
              7. Mixed up some new water and added salt to a specific gravity of 1.012. I read someplace that this level of salt would cause some of the Trophozoites to burst. I really didn't have anything to lose. I put the puffer in the salt bath for 3 minutes.
              8. I prepped his tank using fresh water and a seeded HOB. I added 5mL of Ich Attack (100% organic) and a dose of Erythromycin to counter any secondary bacterial infections. I increased the temp to 84 and put enough salt in to raise the salinity to 1.005.

When I put him in his tank he was still gasping and head-standing, but most of the white spots were gone. He still had a few, but it was nowhere near what it was before the treatment. By Sunday he was no longer head-standing and was swimming pretty normal. By Sunday night, he was pacing the glass and begging for food. I know he's still not out of the woods, but he is alive and doing well so far. I'm still treating with Ich Attack and Erythromycin along with daily water changes.

yes, when i worked at ultimate, we clouted the young girraffes once, but i dont really reccomend it, it made them alittle listless.

i used aquarium salt, slowly raised the temp from 81-88 over a 24 hour period, and used a 1/3 dose of quick cure, and did daily 25% wc's when my 75g came down with ick, the girraffe cat had it, my pair of L134's had it, and so did my gold jack demspey, i treated them like this for 12 ddays, but the ick had already disapearewd withing 72 hours, but ick is a sneaky, tricky decieving parasite, it can and more than likely will come back if not treated for 10-12 days after the signs of it are gone.

I guess the answer to any poblem is clout and a prayer....

I have never in my time of being a fish hobbyist seen an outbreak of ich happen and then kill fish over a single night.

Yeah I love Ich Attack because its 100 organic, and I have seen fish with massive ich on them, be clear of it in 24 hours, that stuff is the bomb.. changed out the water, and then treat again 3 days later.. -- none ever showed ich again.
