Another week and another discus going down. I came home today and I see one of my discus with a light gray mucus/slime all over it and it was laboring to breath. I QT him and another that has a small spot of the same thing and I treated them with Formalin. I also did a water change on the main tank and also treated with Formalin and turned on the UV filter. I read that this is probably a protozoan parasite. I have not added anything to the tank. I do water changes every other day of about 70%. The whole week they seem to have been doing really well. They were really bright and eating well. What could I be doing wrong that I am getting all of these issues with my discus? They seem to be coming fast.

Brian,
Have you try doing small amount of WC, maybe its stressing them out trying to adjust to the condition every two days. I have no experience with discus but i do have a good friend that breeds discus in pearland. He's pretty close to your location, he goes by the name Hopper on here.

Maybe but I know people that do 70% daily. But why would they be looking really well all week and now it happens. I did forget to mention that I actually missed my day of WC yesterday and was going to do it today. I do not see how one day could have caused such a deterioration in their health but I could be wrong.
