Neosporin to treat open wounds? - UPDATE

i was told today that to treat my geos open wound that i should put a little neosporin on it...does this work??

Try a QT tank and some Melafix.

as long as the neosporin works while underwater, it should work fine

I just don't see how the Neosporin would hold up ... with the fish constantly moving through the water. I just thought that Neosporin needed to be absorbed into the skin.
