Well you will have to start over cycling the the tank after the ammo-lock is gone but it did not hurt the fish. The beneficial bacteria will starve because there are no nitrogen compounds for them to eat. Stress coat is supposed to remove the chlorine and chloramines from your tap water but you might test the new treated water just to see. We are using more chemicals in the water than ever before because the water distribution systems are bigger and the pipes are older. Some of the locals have to age/cycle their make up water in a barrel to be safe now.

Once you get some ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate reading again plants are a pretty good substitute for a seeded filter because they have some surface area for the bacteria to live on. They also use all these nitrogen compounds for fertilizer so they help remove them as well.

I am still concerned about the diet. I think you should add some vegetables and feed bloodworms less often. You could probably mash up some peas, chop up some spinach, or add a slice of orange or zuchinni. I feed spirulina flakes. I hate to suggest algae wafers because they expand after the fish eat them and I suspect you might be a little heavy handed with the food.
