Clear Algae?

I have some sort of clear algae on my tank it's coating it just like regular algae but it's clear not green. anyone heard of this. it's only on the glass but's its all over. I didn't notice it at first because it is clear then I began to see it blowing in the current. Any idea of what it is? and how to get rid of It? It's in my new world cichlid tank.

How do you treat?

series of water changes....suck out as much of it as you can....keep up with regular water changes. if you want to use meds theres several fungus meds on the maket that would work but IMO you shouldn't need them.

I do weekly 80%+ changes do I need to do more?

do them every couple days until it clears up shouldn't take that long.... what substrate you got?

you really cant see it becouse unless you get real close. it looks like algae oll over the glass but is clear.

Easiest way is to get a magnetic scrubber and scrub it off. It happens all the time I believe it is an algae.

so I'll try to scrub it off tomorrow. there are also little particals of what looks like snowflakes in the tank i wonder if they have anything to do with it... on the + sid all the fish seem happy and healthy.

I get those all the time. A good pleco will eat it off as well
