Is it possible for a parrot cichlid to be 'egg-bound?' I know they're not a "normal" fish, but one of the ones I take care of is REALLY bloated. No protruding scales, it just looks like she ate an oversized golf ball. I'll post pictures when I get home, but just wondering if this has happened to anyone before.
She and another guy have dug a rather large hole, as per usual in parrot couples that I've seen, and her ovipositor is very extended. Her 'man' defends their 'nest' pretty well, but she just sits there, moving away sporadically but never very far.
Thanks for any replies.
