Fish are fish, give them the best care you can. They didn't ask to be in your tank.

When I first started Ek told me straight up that these fish needed to be researched over and over again before keeping them successfully. Stories like this terrify me. It is almost certainly something that the City did with the water.
I have thought for a while about putting water into a large tub first with the dechlorinator and letting it sit for a while before adding it back to the tank. Is there a relatively inexpensive submersible pump which would move the water from the bucket on the floor to a tank above? The top of my tank is about 5' above the floor.Jarrod - Houston, Texas
