  • Day 4 Oscar Treatment

Today was a 25% water change and a re dosing of the Furan. This is dose 3 of 4.
I'm attaching pics. Even though the bump is still there it is not as red and ulcerated as it was. It appears that her skin is trying to grow back over. I am dissolving vit C with bloodworms and beefheart for her breakfast. Let's hope she eats!

Oh wow...that DOES look better...in the grand scheme of things. At the very least, it doesn't look as raw as it did. I hope she eats the Vit C too. It looks like she's going in the right direction.

Thanks guys! I dissolved the vit C with a beef heart cube and a blood worm cube. She ate the blood worms but not the beefheart. (the male always ate the beef heart - she's always been sort of picky). But she ate about four cichlid sticks too so thats good.

I agree that although it still looks awful, it looks alot better! tomorrow I do another 25% water change and I think I might dose again with the General Cure. It says only takes two doses but I think this is an extreme situation.

One thing I am concerned about is that the bump also goes into her mouth and yesterday it looked like it was starting to block her passage. I watched her today and it doesn't look as bad because she was able to eat. That's always a good sign!

        More tomorrow!
