was doing my bi-monthly water change for 75gal frontosa tank which houses 6 small to medium fish, and noticed one has what looks to me like hole in the head. checked water and all is well. only one fish has a lesion. here lies the problem. im out of metro, but want to start treating right away. besides adding salt(?) is there anything else i can use right away to start treating? also, nothing has changed in the tank for months except water. this colony was bought together and has stayed together, have not added fish, so water and stress do not seem to be the culprit. any ideas?

weekly water changes help me keep my fronts healthy. I do a 50% wc weekly.
I haven't encountered HITH with my mobas. I would call John over at Jehmco to get the metro and ask him if he has any advice for you. He is a great guy and helpful.

If you have a test kit handy, I'd check your water for nitrates before you do your next water change, or even now. HITH is a lot of times associated with water quality, and a test kit will help determine if you're doing enough water changes to keep the nitrates as close to 0 as possible."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

I would try WC first before meds. Meds should be a last resort. I know HITH can be either infection or poor nutrients. What I would do is up the WC regimen and add vitamins such as.
