Black Knife Fish

Ok, I got a 4 inch Black Knife fish for X-mas and lately its been laying down in the aquarium. I have its tem around 76 degrees, feeding frozen bloodworm, he has his holey rock and shade to be in. I dont know whats wrong with him, hope its nothing. Please Help

Turn off the lights for a few hours and see if he becomes active again. Maybe raise the temp a few degrees. I've seen mine do this before. You dis he is still eating, right?

I feed him with lights off at night. He eats it. It seems during the day he just sits there. so should i just give a day of dark?

I have a "white" Black Ghost (a color morph). He hates light and spends most of his time in a driftwood cave unless I turn off the lights or feed him. He is not a picky eater at all.

I have had black ghost's for several years now. Mine stay on their caves on their sides. I had one that stayed tail on end in a tree trunk. They are sort of nocturnal.
Give him his own place to hide. When they some out and swim like normal fish and spend most of their time OUT is when you need to worry about them. They are shy and prefer to hide.
