  • HELP! White and black puffy spot on green clown goby

    What is this thing?

I bought this green clown goby from a LFS on Friday. He looked fine. Today I noticed he had this white puffy spot on his cheek. After I moved him to a breeder cage, I realized it looks like his whole cheek is puffed up and bruised and the skin is split with puffed up white coming out and black edges. I tried to get decent pics. Is there anything I can do?

Tank: 20L been up and running for around 7 months. Lots of softie corals, one green mandarin, hermits, and snails. The mandarin has been in there for a little over 3 months and he looks fine.

Is there any way you can get a closer picture? If not, I understand, but it never hurts to ask. :)

I'll try again tonight. My camera's battery was dead last night and my wife's camera takes horrible macros.

take a safety pen and poke at the white spots.

Try that and report back what happens.

Oh my gosh! Wow. I'm sorry. I didn't think the spot would be that serious. :(
