Okay, I know we've talked about this quite a few times on here before, but I'm looking to get a comprehensive summary of how some of you have treated cyano with erithromycin.
I am currently experiencing a really unattractive outbreak of this stuff in my tank with the killies and plants from Sheldon Lake. The package instructions say 4 doses, and I just added the last dose last night. I've followed the water change schedule and everything it recommends. The problem is, I'm not sure if the cyano is dying or not, what with the water changes and all, in which I removed some of it manually. The instructions also say that you can repeat the dosage process if needed.
So, I'm wondering what worked for everyone else? Did one round do the job? Was the cyano manually removed during the process? How long did it take?
Thanks for any input.
