      Re: got a problem

The "white cottony stuff " is usually bacterial, not fungal, even though it looks
like mold. It is hard to cure, and is usually associated with dead tissue, so there will be
tissue missing once it is cured. It is also usually the result of injury.
Just a bit of salt in the water after the injury prevents it from happening.

For this fish in his present condition try an antibiotic like
amoxicilyn, or pennicylen. If you want to give the bug a double whammy, you
might try some colloidal silver as this is hard to cure.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
