Her filter on that tank finally died I put my aqueon quiet flow 20 on it for now. Can that harm anything by using 5x normal filtration?

It should be fine, the only issue I would be wary of with having that much filtration is flow rate in the tank. From what is in it they should be fine and should have no complaints. I'd be worried with a betta or anything longfinned that might get stuck on the filter intake, otherwise you should be golden. There should be a flow rate controller (never had an aqueon, but I assume they have them) if you need to adjust the flowrate a bit slower.
