i did read the advice, i had never read that he had the same problem. now that he explain in great detail i know what went wrong and how to fix it. i am really glad he took his time to explain to us how the needle valve works and how it would had prevented all the fish in that tank from their death.

It would probably been a better idea to have them die too... it would have definitely make you think to double check whatever info twice before jumping in.

It would have killed them too. that much CO2 in a small tank they would be goners.

Even completely installed...this system will still be subject to a higher than acceptable rate of failure.

I assume that you have had a bad experience with the Red Sea setup? I havent liked anything from them in a long time, with the exception of that 130D all in one cadillac aquarium that they sell.

I had similar tank dump a month ago when I was running the a secondary NV inline (now it is not ) but it was related to a leak, but the secondary NV reduced the amount of CO2 dumped to the tank, still the drop checker was yellow but no loss but it was close enough.

Make sure you have a good NV that can't stand pressure of a dump, in this case I know you had it open but not sure what NV it is.

Raul it is the Red Sea NV. i got the full kit, it was used. the kit was bought less than 2 yrs ago and the tank was filled once. it hadnt been used for about a year. i havent used it again. i am checking all the equipment really good right now. i am scare to lose more fish that way.

                              R. in a planted tank that small. You may try using liquid co2.
