Well never let children in your fish room. Had a small child think it was fun to mess with my wet dry. Next thing I know I see crap flying in my tropheus tank so I immediately turn my return pump off to my wet dry and turned he shutoff valve off. Now I got stirred up detritus in the wet dry and I'm doing a 90% water change in the main tank. What can I do about the wet dry? I'm running an external filter to collect all the crap flying around. Is this making it worse or better. Please anyone!!!!!!

just run it and let the filter collect the stuff and replace a new filter tmw.... thats basically all you can do or flush out the water in the wet/dry...20L nano saltwater tank- (In Progress)

If your tank isn't cycled completely then you should be worried, otherwise it's just detritus that has been consumed already just waiting to be removed by filter padding or water change.
To resolve this issue a circulating pump in the wet/dry to pump up detritus back into the filter padding(which also keeps the wet/dry running when doing water changes if you shut off the return pump) or just have it in the water column so the filter padding can clean it up.700g Mini-Monster tank

Thanks guys just got me worried for a while. Never in my life have I jumped out of the shower so fast without face planting it lol. The tank has been up for a while ( 4 almost 5 months) so I don't Think should worry to much. I just turned the return valve into the overflow so it was like a closed circulation thing going on and the pad caught all of it that was free floating. I was just worried because of the horror stories I've heard of that crap when it flies in the tank.
