I'm sure it's the mag18... all the different powerheads are contributing as well but not sure how much.

The oddysea is probably a heat producer.

Run eggcrate to keep the fish in.

My old tanks were just wide open though and I don't remember losing any fish from jumping, unless of course they are suicidal

Another thing I did was run a clip on fan over the wet/dry to help cool the tank through evaporation.

I ran 3x250wMH + 4x96wPC over my old 125g so heat was an issue.... even with the apt AC set at 72

Can too much metro be bad for the fish?

Can too much morphine be bad for you? Yup. Dude use this treatment. It has never failed me. Got it from Justin (JHenry)

Stop feeding, remove carbon, cut lights (it helps calm them down and relieves some of the stress on the colony). Crank the temperature up to 78.

1st Day: Add metro (1 tsp/150 gallons) and Epsom Salt (tbsp/10 gallons)
                2nd Day: Do nothing
3rd Day: 50% water change, add metro and salt
                4th Day: Nothing
5th Day: 50% water change, metro and salt
                6th Day: Nothing
7th Day: 50% water change, metro and salt and by now you should be able to start feeding lightly.

                  hmm... looks familiar

as for the metro, you would have to be intentionally overdosing to get it high enough to cause long term damage. the highest I would ever go is double doses.

The higher temp is not gonna be a problem, didn't know you were trying to lower temps to treat.

Just make sure there is enough oxygenation or surface agitation going on and you will be fine with that temp. When you treat with most cases you raise your temp so you are good, if anything try and raise it a few more degrees
