spores, spread by eating dead who were infected. starts at the tail, fins rot off, then progresses forward up the body turning white, tissue necrosis. no cure, all you can do is euthanise.

The neon was skinned half way up his body from the tail forward, literally skinned with meat showing and still alive when I found him. Not rotted at all & perfectly healthy that morning along with the other 4 of its kind. No fins gone, nipped or rotted, just the skin on half his body was gone & his tail was just 2 tiny sticks. The other neons are unscathed & remain healthy today. Guppy had her tail shredded to the bone, body not skinned at all.

There have been no more incidents today. Waiting to see what tomorrow brings!

Oh, and all 11 danios are still doing well with the Hell's Angels :)

Oh my goodness! No, nothing like that at all. That's awful, Ally! Just 2 tail stripping casualties in a weeks time. Everyone is fine this morning, too. I guess someone just had their fish panties in a wad.

it's the distributer, they have been coming in sick. I do what I can to save as many as I can, and hope that the issue will get resolved.
