funny thing is that there is soo many things in my little reef tank that could probably kill me if I were to mess with it....I am allergic to bee stings    8O

i heard about this a long time ago, but it is so uncommon. I mean my hands have been going in and out of some pretty dirty tanks for so long, and im sure everyone here has cleaned countless tank. Has even one perosn from the site had this? that would be a good indicator of how common or not this disease is, cus i know i have cleaned tanks with cuts on my hands and scrapes on my arm. especailly salt tanks cus hey help the cuts heal faster MMmmmm pain  :wink:

Well a lot of things can go wrong in a Saltwater tank that probably won't in FW but some of those things are present in FW as well.

I have gotten a few little mysterious rashes before and even felt super tire where I could not get out of bed the day after bayou collecting before. Nothing major like what was shown above.

Wilma....boombacat on apc who sells nerites had to be taken to the emergency room for squishing a snail between her fingers....it did the same as above.

I have had numbness from playing with some zoanthids in my reef tank but others have reported way worse from zoanthids and there is also anemones and all the other corals that will do damage to you as well.

Some might be able to get away without a single problem but there will be some that don't.

you all do realize that the reason they have signs saying dont swim in bolivar is that there is a high percentage of unhealthy bacteria, like flesh eating there. im serious, thats why they have warning signs. so dont go swimming near galveston or bolivar. cus it downb right dangerous

Since day one that place always boggled my mind.....I have been to some bayous that are much cleaner then that place.
