yea theres these things growing on my walls where ive got the oscar healing in and i think that i saw a pair of mosquitoe larva in there too,i took them out
I can't tell from the photos, but I'm with Totenkampf...probably planaria. The tend to show up when there is excess food in the tank. Won't hurt the fish, but it's a sign that you might be overfeeding a bit.
Google planaria and see if the photos match what's in your tank.

an oscar wont eat em, so they grow out and bite ya lol. my betta sure does love em though. had to kill my breeding tank cuz of the damn west nile tho. grr

If you are talking about the things above the water level it might be old food depending on what you feed. If you feed frozen bloodworks or freeze dried bloodworms, these could stick to the side. Then when the water level drops they dry up. Just an idea.

tannins wouldnt make it cloudy like that, just red/brown in color but still clear. i'd just scrape the sides and then do a big WC and be sure to vacuum the substrate while doing so.
