Green Terror with problems

    Green Terror with problems

    I have isolated Sunday my 4.5" male Green Terror.. the problem with him is he has not visible eaten for several days (closing in on a week now)  he constantly poo's this VERY clear stringy poo but I dont see any problems in the poo..   He was isolated because he looked like he had gotten beaten up.
    When swimming alone in the 10G hospital tank he is either showing GREAT colors or he is scared and stressed and dark and looks no good at all.

    I know this is not the best description, but has anyone heard/seen of this problem ?

    Hmmm...So he hasn't been eating since you moved him? (I'm assuming you moved him Sunday, and that's not his name. Correct me if I'm wrong.  :) ) Can you tell if he's losing weight? And have you added any medications to his hospital tank?

    Also, what exactly is in the hospital tank? (Decorations, etc.) That might affect his mood. Not sure, though.

    :(  Sorry about your fish. Have you done any water changes to the hospital tank yet?

      Try "General Cure"...the main ingredient is metronidazole which is used for intestinal dinoflagellates.

        If I read it correctly it sounds like the fish's name is Sunday....


        I would try something with metro as well....but the stringy poop could be just from not eating. Upped the temps a bit and then try feeding live/frozen foods to entice it.

          Sorry - Sunday I isolated my green terror.
          Sorry.. I am tired and I have been sick.. there are things that are slipping for me.
          He is in a 10G tank that has small pepple gravel, and some fake plants in it with a small cave (to small for him)
          I might give him some frozen food and see if he eats that.
          I will think about medicating him... Should I use Melafix or Primafix ?

            If he is really bad off, I would use them both in combination.  States on the bottle that you can do so.

              I'm always hesitant to just throw in meds when you're not sure what's wrong. Could do more harm than help.

              I say try to do lots of water changes, if you feel up to it. Shouldn't take too much energy with a 10g. Hope you start feeling better!

              Any way you can take a couple pictures?
