  • My Canary Cheek

Lost 5 so far. The fungus was so bad that the entire bodies were covered. I was treating everyday, doing bi daily water changes. One fish got to twirling so I culled it. Down to 10. These are finally starting to eat.

I believe it was mostly Cottony Growth and Body Fungus. One of them had some bad reddening. I've been treating with Pimafix.

I bet in most extreme cases it doesn't work as well. I've used it and had good results everytime

Keep in mind that most fuzzy growth on fish is not always fungus. True fungus on fish is really rare. Fungus shows up on dead organic matter, so it is possible to have fungus on fish if the skin is dying, but then you have to wonder why the skin would be dying. That is usually due to a bacterial infection, or parasites with an underlying bacterial infection. I'd add an antibiotic to your treatment if I were you.
