So the first time I flooded my room, most of it went in my dresser. This time I was changing water on my 125. Hose slipped out and for about 15 mins was pouring onto my carpet. Before I get to my room I see water in my living room. I have the worst luck with water changes. Not sure how to hose slipped out. I do the same routine.

Too much. We got a little 5 gallon for around $50 I think. If I had it to do over, I'd go bigger, but then you are getting into a lot of money. But still better to have to stop and empty it, than have all the towels laid out soaking up all the water. Our Fishhouse

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Once your pads underneath the carpet are soaked, I'd suggest time for new carpets. The carpet on top will act like an insulator and keep the pads wet for a long time.. Hope all works out for you.
