I'm pretty pathetic. I painted my girl's bowfront inside her apt. Carpet is still blue. Second time this happened with flooding. I need someone to slap the sense into me.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

+1 to the shop vac. I never over filled a tank but I've had 3 issues with a leaking canister filter and one broken tank (koosh ball to the glass). Those things make the primary clean up alot easier.

Alex at Ultimate told me he fell asleep during a water change at 11pm and woke up at 8am. Ouch. Worst I did was 1 hour at full blast on a pvc/vinyl plank floor. shop vac saved me too.
Old timers might remember the time Delock flooded his 2 times in one night on the 3rd floor of a apartment building. Ouch again...200

mogan sorry to hear about the floud. But it does happen to all of us. I use a big spring clamp to hold the hose. But some one or some thing will destraced me. I will catch it as it hites the floor. There is no sound like water hiting a wood floor.

Reading all of this makes me thankful for not having carpet where carpet should be. Perhaps it's a good thing! Hopefully you get that cleaned up quickly, Josiah. Make sure the pad is dry or it's gonna smell awful.180g - 2 Red Oscars, 1 Tiger Oscar, 1 JD, Convicts, convicts & more convicts

Just need to be vigilant. I usually sit on the couch and smoke hookah or work on the laptop while I have the python going. But I only have a 105g so I imagine it's different doing water changes on 200+ gallon tanks. All bleeding stops eventually...
