  • Fish randomly dieing

    All my fish look healthy but they are dieing randonmly , I have had 2 tiger barbs die, 1 pleco the day after and the day after they a afd frog and a bolivian ram.
    I add stress coat every time I do a water change i dont know if maybe I'm adding too much ?.

    0 nitrates? It sounds like your testing kit may be reading incorrectly. They do have an expiration date so you may want to check that.

    I once had a similar issue. Turns out my toddler was sneaking into the fish tank, catching fish bare handed, and giving them nice big squeezes.

    Tank size, filtration, maintenance schedule, and stock list will be helpful information.

      I dont know if changing the temp from 86 to 82 in one day could of did it or not.

        It depends on how quickly it was done but you usually are safer decreasing the temperature than increasing the temperature.

          What should I do ? Should I just leave my tank go and not try to do anything or do water change I dont know.

            Any recent additions to the tank? Did the fish look damaged? We're their mouths open or closed?

              They were perfectly fine , there fins were down and looked like they were dead for a while , thats it.

                    Only thing I did was 50% water change monday and today.
                    Added stress coat after.
                    Changed temp from 82-77

                          What size is your tank? What this of filtration do you have? And what's the livestock? This will give a better idea and help narrow down the problem
