  • lost gbr too illness

Sad day got home from work and found our female GBR dead. Yesterday she had a smal white circle on her just before her tail. She seemed ok. But was not. I have never seen this before. Any ideas? On sunday i did a 50% wc. And yesterday 15%. Will do another 15% in a bit. Thanks for any info

Sorry to hear that, what are your parameters? Rams are really tough and can be a challenge for even the best hobbyists. Losses in most stores are quite surprising.

Hmmm, temp is a bit low but nothing in the killer range.... Maybe aggression? Have they been particularly feisty of late?

just hunting for another enviromental possibility. At a loss really, your parameters look good. I'll ponder and see if anything comes to mind

They usually prefer it on the warm side, more akin to discus. I'd bump it up to 82-84. It still not a smoking gun and 79 should be fine, I've seen them kept successfully there. They just prefer it a bit warmer then more tropicals and are sensitive to the lower 70's.
