                Off on a tangent.... Geekgirl -- friend of mine just sold his Para 16/40 after he cracked the slide...  after that he said he will never touch another one.   I got another friend who has a SpringField, but the nicest gun (1911 .45 ACP) to shoot was the Ed Brown, but then again I cannot justify coming up with $2200 for a 1911.

                    Sadly the 50BMG was not all it was worth to me.  My friend Sloan (of Fountain Firearms) own a Barrett M82A1 (can only shoot it at Phil's range around here) and until I have a 1000m range to play on (none in town will let you shoot 50BMG on them, its no fun.  Phil has as far as I recall a 200 as his longest.

                    -- and at $4.00 a shot... its not cheap to send a round down range.

                    Personally the next rifle I want to get is a M14 Springfield Rifle.  Friend of mine has one and its got to be one of the nicest .308 rifles out there.

                    BTW -- I agree with you EK -- a handgun is the tool used to get to your Rifle..  and like Traci said... a Glock will do the same damage as one of the others.

                      I never even thought of telling you 2 I have a pair of 75 gallon tanks you can use if needed.

                        Jesper....I wanted to get a m14 but the socom 16th! I had a savage le2b that was pretty decked which is .308 and it was a freaking blast! Every hunting season I would take it out just to whoop up on the boys out at the range trying to sight in for hunting season.
