I just did a water change on both tanks and I totally rearranged the 36 gallon

It wasn't cloudy, but I did a 50% water change today. I added some bacteria as part of the change, so I think it needs to settle now. I also bought 2 pieces of driftwood from John (HAW), so once I finish boiling and soaking them I'll add those too. I hear the plecos love it!

It looks cloudy like my Brichardi tank. Every time I clean the Brichardi tank it's cloudy for a day or two. You're tank looks great though.

Got it done! It's cloudy as usual. Did the 75gal too. So far everyone seems happy.
The Brichardi look darker against the black sand but I feel like I can see them better than I could with the play sand. I can also see the fry better and I can see some blue in the older ones fins. I don't even see blue on mom and dad. Hmmmm

Well it hadn't been cycled that long, maybe one or two weeks. The water wasn't crystal clear, but the cloudiness was kind of there after the water change. In addition to the regular chemicals I added a little bacteria in to help with the new water. What do you think? I'm still learning, so I'm open to suggestions!

Wait and see what the experts on here say but I think adding more bacteria wouldn't hurt. When I set up a new tank I constantly switch media from filters and decor back and forth between an established tank and the new one.
Can't wait to see it when you add the wood. Keep up the good work. You've found a wonderful group to learn from. I know enough to be dangerous.
