I'm really tempted to take cutie pie and frogs out and put in a little sea salt and see what happens. I've still got ocean salt from when I had the F8 puffer. The salt being real old shouldn't matter should it? I'm searching for articles as this really interests me and I want my guppies to live.

And don't freak Crizz, IF we need to go brackish it is so easy. It just sounds scary when you've never done it before.

Crizz, you won't have that pond snail infestation any more.

When I turn the moon lights on I can see what looks to be a hazy saddle across one of my little girls back. No doubt this is ich. My black tailed boy had that same saddle but much larger. I'm also seeing some flashing today.

An interesting article from wetwebmedia mentioning guppies in bracksih to full marine.

I'm looking at comments from Neale Monks, who also taught me how to do bracksih with my GSP when I first got him. Vety interesting.

IMO> you don't need to go to all the trouble. keep them fresh that is what all the ones you got from Crizz were in fresh. the ones from the lfs. are all dead. If you really want to keep guppies go to Houston Aquatics they have the best high end guppies at a great price.

Crizz got his original ones from a high end dealer. Maybe that's why we're having such better luck with those, even though one of my girls now seems to have the ich on her back. [sigh] The ones that I have from Crizz and 2 from Ultimate Fish...are definitely much stronger than the ones from T&T.

Have you thought about endlers? They are a lot more hardy and do very well in our water.

How do you know if it's an endler or guppy/endler hybrid? I've got something in my tank that looks a lot like an endler that I bought from a guppy tank. Do the stores generally keep endlers, guppies or guppy/endler hybrids seperate? I hope that's not a really dumb question. I had no idea that guppies are so difficult.

If this whole crew dies I might just say to heck with it and start over with pea puffers.

Endlers are really cool little fish. Beth google them they are very much like guppies but I think they are prettier.

I'm doing net searches between cleaning tanks and vacuuming the house. LOL

I have a black boy with a deep blood red velvet tail and fins in QT, I am going to be furious if he dies. No doubt he'll be in QT a long time.

The best bet would be in MHO would be to buy some on the internet and have them shipped to you. Unless you can find someone on here who sells them. It is very difficult to tell if guppies are crossed with endlers. One of the neat things with endlers is that generally they will not eat their own young. They would be perfect in a 10 Gallon.

I've been looking at endlers on aquabid and am surprised at the reasonable prices. I mean heck, I've already lost about $30 or more in guppies. T&T charged $4ea which I didn't mind paying since they were beautiful and still cheaper than cichlids. I like the tiny size of the endler males. I'm certainly thinking about it.

If I didn't have the betta and pleco I'd go in there and add a tiny bit of marine salt to the tank though. I really like the pleco being in that tank because she's out all the time, and I don't want to set up another 10gal just for the betta and frogs.
